Sonakshi celebrated her birthday with her husband Zaheer Iqbal and a few close friends, including Huma Qureshi. In the video, Sonakshi is seen surrounded by her friends while Zaheer sits on her lap. The group sings “Happy Birthday,” and the celebration ends on a sweet note with Zaheer planting a kiss on her cheek. Sharing the video, Sonakshi wrote:

“Happy birthday to me! I’m so lucky to have friends who write ‘Happy Birthday Sonu’ on my cake instead of putting gold on it. What more could I ask for?”

Sonakshi Makes a Special Request

After sharing the video, Sonakshi made a special request to everyone via her Instagram Stories. She urged her family and friends not to disturb her at midnight. Sharing a candid photo, she wrote:

“Dear family and friends, I know it’s my birthday today, but please don’t call me at 12 a.m. I’m already in bed and ready to wake up at 5 a.m. so I can make calls at 6 a.m. If you love me… let me sleep.”

Later in the morning, Sonakshi shared another story, writing: “Wow!! My plan worked. Everyone messaged, and S Mehra called me straight at 5 a.m. Thank you for all the wishes pouring in. I’ll read them during the shoot.”

Birthday Wishes from Father Shatrughan Sinha

Veteran actor and Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha also wished her a happy birthday. Sharing some never-before-seen childhood pictures of Sonakshi with her twin brothers Luv and Kush, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

“Wishing our wonderful, loving, and amazing daughter Sonakshi a fantastic day. May you be surrounded by joy, laughter, love, and happiness. Hope your day is as special as you are. Happy Birthday!”

On the work front, Sonakshi’s upcoming psychological thriller ‘Nikita Roy’ has been postponed to a new release date — June 27. Directed by her brother Kussh Sinha, the film was earlier scheduled for a May 30 premiere. Produced under the banners of Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, Kratos Entertainment, and Nikita Pai Films, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar.

In addition, Sonakshi is set to make her Tollywood debut with the fantasy thriller ‘Jatadhara’, directed by Venkat Kalyan. The film also features Sudheer Babu, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Divya Vij.
